Crispy Prawn Tacos
Ingredients:
- 500g Frozen Small Prawns, thawed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Taco shells
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip the thawed and peeled Frozen Small Prawns into the buttermilk, then coat them in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add the coated prawns to the hot oil and fry them until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Warm the taco shells according to the package instructions.
- Fill each taco shell with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and the crispy prawns.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
