Kalari is a traditional artisanal cheese made by Gujjar shepherds in the mountains of Kashmir. Often called the “mozzarella of the Himalayas,” it is semi‑soft, stretchy, and develops a golden, crispy crust when pan‑seared while staying gooey inside. To maintain freshness, Kalari is kept frozen in sealed packets.
Serving Suggestions for Home:
Pan‑sear and serve with mint chutney, tomato jam, or honey drizzle.
Stuff into kulchas, parathas, or rolls for a street‑style snack.
Add to sandwiches, wraps, or fusion pizzas for a gooey indulgence.
Each 500 g pack contains approximately 5–7 pieces.
Shelf Life: 9 months
