Burrata – The Queen of Italian cheeses. “Buttery” that is the literal translation of this word in Italian, and why not, given the oozy, creamy texture of this delectable cheese. The outside is a thin shell made of milk, while the inside is a soft mixture of curd and cream; so when you crack it open it melts on the plate. This needs to be savoured, ideally on its own, with fresh ingredients like tomato, basil, olive oil and crusty bread.
